This piece is a summary of our annual trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. My friends and I ventured into the dunes in September 2021 where we witnessed a beautiful moonrise over the mountains, while dozens of coyotes and other animals started howling at the moon all around us. We stargazed through the camping telescope at our favorite planets, and experienced the aspen trees in full fall color.
